The 21st Century Reader: Too Much Information?
Tuesday, April 15
9 am - 11 am
CIT Walk-In (Carrier Library, Room 22)

Laura Schubert Learning Resource Center faculty Laura Schubert and Kristen Shrewsbury will lead a discussion on the topic, The 21st Century Reader: Too much information?

Are our students changing the way they read? ARE they reading? What are they reading? Is this affecting the way they think and solve problems? What impact does the internet search process have on their reading and thinking? Hear and engage in a conversation with people who think about these things and can speak to their experience with JMU students' reading habits and abilities.

CIT Fireside Chats

The purpose of the Fireside Chats is to gather with other faculty around a warm, cozy virtual fire to discuss “hot” topics in the instructional technology field. These relaxing chats provide faculty with an opportunity to reflect on pedagogical topics, opportunities and issues revolving around the use of technology in instruction. The Fireside Chats will be held in the CIT on the third Thursday of each month from 1-3pm.
