Streaming Media-- Video

The CIT is now equipped to assist you in creating and delivering streaming video and audio files through the Web. Streaming audio and video files can be a useful instructional tool for you and your students. They are available online 24/7, eliminating the need for students to check out a video tape for study. They are also available for in-class viewing as long as the room is equipped to access and display web pages.

This past summer, we asked some faculty members if we could go along on their summer field research trips to capture some footage of them and their research students at work. We then edited the footage using Final Cut Pro© and Media Cleaner© and then converted the final version to a streaming media file. We can help you do this, too. For more information about streaming media, contact Brian "Grover" Saunders at saundebn@jmu.edu or x83572.
